Orange Chicken


  • 1lb Chicken Breast bite sized pieces
  • 1 Orange zested, juiced
  • 2 Garlic Cloves minced
  • 1 Stub Ginger grated
  • 1 Red Chili Pepper chopped
  • 1 Egg White
  • 1/2cup Cornstarch
  • 2tbsp Cornstarch
  • 1/cup Flour
  • 1/2cup Rice Wine optional
  • 1/2cup Soy Sauce
  • 1/2cup Vinegar
  • 2tbsp Sesame Oil
  • 4tbsp Honey
  • Salt, Pepper


  1. Place chicken in a large bowl with egg white, 'salt', and 'pepper'. Massage to coat. Add larger portion of cornstarch and flour, massage again.
  2. Deep fry coated chicken for 4-5min or until crispy and golden, set aside to drain.
  3. In a pan, combine wine, soy sauce, orange (juice and zest), ginger, garlic, chili, and 'vinegar'. Heat on medium-high until boiling then turn to low. Create a slurry with the remaining cornstarch and stir in, heat on medium until sauce thickens. Stir in honey.
  4. Add chicken and sesame oil, mix to coat. Serve with rice.
