Hot Chili


  • 1lb Ground Beef
  • 1lb Ground Pork
  • 1 Red Onion diced
  • 3 Garlic Cloves minced
  • 1/4lb JalapeƱo Peppers minced
  • 4oz (1 can) Mild Chopped Chili Peppers
  • 29oz (2 cans) Diced Roasted Tomatoes undrained
  • 1tbsp Chili Powder
  • 1tbsp Chipotle Chili Powder
  • 1/2tsp Ground Cumin
  • 1tsp Hot Sauce
  • 2tbsp Balsamic Vinegar
  • Shredded Cheese optional
  • Salt and Pepper


  1. Brown the ground beef and pork with the red onion in a pot over medium-high heat. Liberally salt and pepper.
  2. Stir in garlic, chili peppers, and jalapeƱo, cooking for another minute.
  3. Add `tomatoes, chili powders, cumin, hot sauce, and vinegar.' Stir to mix, then bring to a simmer. Reduce heat to low and simmer for another 15-20 minutes.
  4. Serve and top with cheese.
