Braised Knockwurst


  • 1lb Knockwurst || Kielbasa
  • 2 Carrots
  • 2 cloves || 1tsp Garlic minced
  • 1 Vidalia Onion thinly sliced
  • 2 Russet Potatoes large diced
  • 3tsp Dijon Mustard preferably whole grain
  • Spices
  • Olive Oil


  1. Heat 1tbsp of olive oil on medium-high until hot. Add garlic and cook until lightly browned.
  2. Add potatoes, onions, and carrots. Cook, stirring frequently until slightly softened.
  3. Add the knockwurst and 1 3/4 cups of water. Season with spices. Cook, stirring occasionally, 20 minutes or until liquid has reduced in volume by about 3/4. Remove the knockwurst.
  4. Add 1/2 of the mustard to the vegetables, stir until combined and remove from heat. Season with spices.
  5. Add 1 tsp of olive oil to a pan and heat on medium-high. Add the knockwurst and cook on each side until crispy.
